Uzbekistan is for many a distant unknown country. Perhaps the current name makes it even more mysterious. Uzbekistan was for centuries the "Silk Road" and along many miles left us countless legends and monuments.
The Silk Route is one of the most fascinating adventures in its purest form,and it is also an adventure for lovers of of vanished civilizations, it is a paradise for archeology and you will find some of the most romantic cities lost in the desert, colossal statues, ruins buried for centuries, papyri written in unknown languages, magic gardens and madrassahs. The route has been a two way road for merchants, soldiers and philosophers, namely, trade, warfare and ideas.
